We believe community involvement is an important component of doing business. To that end, we're happy to offer the Friendship Fund program, our primary vehicle for community involvement.
The Friendship Fund was established in 1989, and currently has over 160 active members. The Friendship Fund is a receipt/rebate program and is open to all non-profit groups. Participating groups encourage their members to collect Eastside Marketplace receipts. When those receipts are returned to Eastside Marketplace by the charitable organization or non-profit group, a donation equal to 1% of the total is made to that organization.
For more information or to become a member of the Friendship Fund, please call Kim at 401-831-7771.
Please check out our Friendship Fund Member list below to see if your favorite non-profit is part of our Friendship Fund family.
Eastside Marketplace is pleased to provide the Community Information Center, dedicated to providing an outlet for non-profit organizations to distribute key information to the community at large. The site is available without charge by reservation only. For more information on the Community Center, please call 401-831-7771.
Eastside Marketplace is proud to support our community organizations. Our main vehicle for giving back to the community is through the Friendship Fund. In addition, we entertain requests to support local charity events.
Although most requests for support are very worthy, Eastside Marketplace can support only a small portion of them due to the volume of requests. Before making a donation request, we ask that you please review our guidelines to see if your organization might qualify for a donation.
- All requests must be in writing and submitted along with a Donation Application at least 45 days in advance of your event.
- Organizations must be located within 20 miles of the store.
- A donation of a gourmet gift basket, gift card or grocery item(s) will be considered after each donation request is reviewed.
Support your favorite charitable organization
Check below to see if your favorite organization or group is a member of the Friendship Fund. SAVE your receipts and mail them directly to the organization.
Please DO NOT mail receipts to the store.
Pass it on. Spread the news and let others know how they can support local charities by saving their Eastside Marketplace receipts!
